Despite not actually having an album to launch, The Soviets played to a packed house at No 28 near Grey's Monument in Newcastle. Fuelled by cocktails named after the band members, the crowd almost literally brought the house down.

Many thanks to Victoria Ling of 137 Imaging for photographing the night.

Life in a band is not all gigging and getting drunk and staying out partying all night. It's mostly that, but there is also a lot of hard work that goes on beforehand - working on song ideas, coming up with marketing strategies and planning what to spend limited funds on. Obviously this can't be done without the odd pint to stimulate creativity.
